If you've never been to Hawaii and are thinking about taking your next vacation there, a cruise may be just the ticket to your vacationing paradise. In fact, even if you've already been to the Islands, you might still find that cruising is the way to go.

There are many reasons why cruising is the choice for many vacationers, and should be your first choice, especially if this is your first trip to Hawaii and you just do not know which island to go to.

One of the main benefits to a Hawaii cruise is that you are able to visit just about every one of the main islands. One of the problems many Hawaii vacationers have is that they can not decide on which island to visit. If you think about it, once you decide you want to go to Hawaii, the next logical step in your vacation planning is to figure out which island you want to spend your time on. The great thing about a cruise is that you do not have to decide. You get a little taste of each of the islands! And, if it's your first time in Hawaii, this allows you to check out each island so that next time you decide to go to Hawaii, you can spend your entire vacation on your favorite island.

Another great benefit of a cruise is that they are all-inclusive. About the only thing that the package does not include is alcohol and off-ship excursions. There is food constantly being offered all day long, and if you're on the ship, it's free! And, every night, you'll get a very nice dinner. That is one thing about cruises that everyone raves about – the dinners. Every ship is different, but one thing that is common is that the dinners are exceptionally good. We're talking steak, lobster, shrimp, pasta, and more. And, it's usually a 5 course meal – appetizer, soup, salad, main course, and dessert.

Beside food, all-inclusive also includes entertainment, nightly shows, games, and more.

Booking excursions easily right from the ship is another reason why cruises are a nice way to go. The ship will have an excursion desk where you can go to book all your off-ship excursions. Of course, the excursions are an extra cost, but to have one place to go to book excursions is worth the time and effort you will save … especially on your first vacation to Hawaii. You do not want to waste time looking around on land for things to do … you want to just do them!

So, as you can see, there are many great reasons why you bought to take a Hawaii cruise, especially if you're a first timer. If you've never been to Hawaii, this is the way to go. You are able to visit multiple islands, cruises are all-inclusive, and they make booking excursions very convenient. There's a good chance that you'll want to take another Hawaiian cruise once it's over … or you might find the one island that you loved and want to go back to again.

No matter what you decide, you'll be very happy you decided to take a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands!

Gay and Lesbian – Going on Your First Cruise?

There is a lot to think about when taking your first cruise: where to go and what to do; which cruise line to go with; what time of year to travel; your destination; and last but not least, how much you want to spend on your cruise. When you are gay or lesbian I think you are given more options. There are the usual cruises, yes, but these days cruise lines are getting a lot more creative with their themes in an effort to compete in the market.

I think the first and most important decision to be made concerns the type of cruise that you're looking for. Do you want to book a normal “straight” cruise or would you rather go to a more familiar place with other gay and lesbian travelers? This decision would probably depend on who will be traveling in your party. Is it family and friends? Just family? If so, your family may prefer the former, depending on their own comfort level. If your family is more open-minded, or you plan to travel with friends of a similar background, then the latter may prove to be the more interesting option.

The next thing you'll want to consider is how you will make your travel arrangements. Would you like to book the cruise on your own, or would you prefer to book the cruise through a travel agent? Keep in mind that a travel agent may have access to better rates- particularly group rates and tour deals. So, with that said- how “private” would you like your cruise to be? If this is your first cruise, then you may want to go on a tour; This would provide a great opportunity to learn about the cruise atmosphere and explore various outlets for entertainment.

Speaking of atmosphere- what kind of cruise environment are you looking for? Many people travel to get away from their everyday habitat. Do you live in icy cold weather? A Hawaiian cruise may be a welcome retreat! If you live in a hot area, then sometimes an Alaskan cruise- complete with scenic views of icy glaciers- would be something new and exciting.

Finally, how many days do you want to be on vacation? Cruises can last anywhere from a few days to over two weeks. Depending on what type of getaway you need- a short vacation to escape from the drudgery of work or a long vacation to explore new sights and create last memories- you may have to shop around for the cruise that will best match your needs. Your length of travel will also depend on how comfortable you are being away from home. Some people tend to get homesick and would not want to spend so much time away from home; on the other hand, if you are frequently out, you may want to stay out longer.

There are always a lot of factors to think about when traveling, so make sure you do your research because fun is the only option when vacationing! πŸ˜‰

WOW! That is how i felt when i stepped foot onto the most beautiful ship i have ever seen. I just returned home to philadelphia from my first cruise experience and i feel like my life has been changed forever.

This was not just a regular cruise. This was a millionaire mentoring success cruise. Big difference.

I started out by flying to Miami Florida to meet up with about 50 of my business associates. We spent the night in a beautiful hotel on the Miami river. The next morning we had an outstanding training session with my person mentor. Dwayne Golden. This gentleman is one of the most dynamic trainers in all of the world. I believe everyone should have someone like Dwayne in their life.

Then we were off to the port where our beautiful ship awaited us. Her name was The Majesty of The Seas.
I have seen cruise ships from the outside and they all look huge but until you step foot on one you have no idea.

As soon as you step on to the ship you are overwhelmed with beauty. Glass elevators, brass handrails, and mirror everywhere. I felt like i was in one of Donald Trumps casinos. Then i proceeded to my private stateroom where i was blessed with an ocean view. It was amazing. So after i got settled in it was time for dinner.

I could go on for hours about the amazing dining experiences that i was blessed with but i do not want to make anyone jealous. I was surrounded by an amazing group of like minded entrepreneurs and lets just say that we were treated like royalty. I am not sure which was better, the food or the service. They were both outstanding. Every meal was better than the last. With out a doubt the best culinary experiences of my life and i have been to many five star restaurants but none of them compared to this.

Our first destination was Nassau Bahamas. When woke up and looked out the window i saw paradise. After i got shaved and dressed i had the privilege of spending a few hours with a skillaire. His name is Myron Golden and this man is nothing short of a genius. If you would like your life to go from tragic to magic in a short period of time you will want to get familiar with the systems that he has created.

After lunch it was time to get a taste of paradise. As soon as i got off the ship in the Bahamas i looked into the Caribbean sea and immediately saw some of the most colorful fish in the world. As i strolled around the streets of Nassau shopping for souvenirs all i could think of was how great my life has become since i begin my journey of personal development. It is amazing the kind of life you can live when you actually make a decision to change the quality of your life.

That night we had full schedule of entertainment as we cruised to our next destination. We experienced a hilarious hour of karaoke. Then the laughs continued with a comedy show in the next room over. Then it time to dance. Fortunately for me some of the people i was with were from Colombia because until that night i had no idea how to salsa dance. I had a so much fun i went back the next night and learned a few more moves.

When we woke up the next morning we were in Coco Cay. This is a private island in the Bahamas that is owned by the cruise line. We were anchored out in the middle of the sea and we had to take a shuttle boat to get on to the island. Once we arrived on the island we went snorkeling and then we relaxed on the beach. As i was sitting in a hammock watching the waves come in i was looking out at the ship as it sat anchored still a few hundred yards away. It looked so small. So i had my friend take a picture of me standing along the edge of the rocks with my hand out and it looks like the ship is in my hand. It is a really cool picture. I would love to send you a copy of it.

That evening we saw something nobody could describe. There was a full moon with a very bright ring around it. It looked like a halo. If you know what that is about please let me know. As we danced the night away on the top deck over looking the swimming pool there was a man creating an ice sculpture that turned out to be an Indian head. It was really cool looking. After the music finally stopped we went to the all night pizza buffet. About 20 of us sat there eating pizza and telling stories. We had some good laughs as we learned some new things about each other.

The next morning we woke up in the Florida Keys. From our view on the ship it looked amazing. To our left there was an island with nothing but beautiful houses on it. And on our right was the city of Key West.

Before we went out to tour the beautiful city we we blessed to have another amazing trainer / celebrity who was willing to spend some time with us. Her name is Artemis Limpert. She is one of the most most powerful women in free enterprise but she is also in the new movie Pass It On which is like a sequel to the movie The Secret. If you have not seen these movies yet you will want to do so immediately. They will change your life.

After getting some amazing wisdom from Mrs. Limpert were off the ship and onto the streets of Key West. This is amazing historical town with a ton of things to see. I did some touring around but it was very hot and sunny so me and my friends from Chicago decided to go swimming in the Gulf of Mexico for the rest of the day.

That night back on our beautiful ship with my body covered with sunburn i just relaxed and enjoyed the peace and quiet that i knew would be over in the morning.

As i woke up on our final morning in Miami Florida all i could be cruising out to sea. Which will not be long. Our team will be celebrating our next success cruise in April. You should set a goal for yourself to be on it with us. It will be a life changing experience.

Do not just live life, Create a lifestyle.

Congratulations on your future success,

Planning your first holiday especially on a cruise liner is always a challenge. You could get together with your family and friends and discuss your travel and vacation plans so as to get a better idea of what needs to be done. The best way is to book with a travel agent who will not only advise you on which cruise liner and destination you should be going to but also plan your entire itinerary including air travel to the port of embarkation. But before you proceed, let's first answer some questions that are bound to pop up while planning your cruise.

What kind of cruise is suitable for your age group?

Typically, there are different kinds of cruises suitable for different age groups. You will find a cruise designed for all individuals, from the toddler to the teen to the retired. All you need to decide in who is going and then select the cruise best suited for you. There are fun-filled holiday cruises for the family, singles, newly-weds and even for the slightly older and matured.

What kind of budget are you on?

Typically, the minimum cost of per person per day is about $ 100 on an average cruise liner. Many ships charge extra for certain items and of course air-fare is not included in this. You can decrease the cost somewhat by sharing the cabin with another person, booking way in advance, like almost six months prior, or taking a risk and booking late, less than two months prior to departure.

How many days can you spend on your cruise?

If you have less than a week, then the options would be closer to home and restricted to Mexico, Bahamas or simply a weekend cruise to a port in the ocean and back. A complete week gives you more time and options range from the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Alaska and even the South Pacific, depending on of course your current residential location. Anything longer than that would be suitable for any kind of cruise vacation across the globe.

When would you be most likely to travel?

Obviously, cruise tickets are cheaper in leaner times like spring or fall and most expensive during the summer holidays. Winter is also considered high season when traveling to warmer locations like the Caribbean. Some locations like Alaska, Scandinavia and the Baltic have a shorter cruising season and will be open only between May and September. While Antarctic cruises are on between November and February, Mediterranean cruises can be taken all year round.

Where would you like to go?

With the earth being covered with 75% ocean, cruise ships today can reach any of the continents and traverse all across the globe. From the Americas to Austral-Asia, Africa to Antarctica, Bahamas to Bermuda, Europe to Canada, there are plenty of cruise destinations to choose from. Even land locked locations such as Central Europe, Russia, or the Yangtze River in China can be reached on a river cruise. Always a challenge to decide your destination, it is important to keep all other factors like type of cruise, budget, length of vacation among others in mind.

What are your interests?

Although cruises provide all kinds of on board activities, your destination should be based on your interest. While European tours offer a good dose of culture for the history buffs, tropical destinations like the Caribbean and the South Pacific are for the beach lovers. Whether it is glacier watching in Alaska, deep sea diving in Australia or experiencing the fjords in Norway, you have to decide what you like to do best before you choose your cruise destination. Many cruises also offer a list of off-shore activities before you book, so make sure that you are well researched on that as well.

What kind of accommodation would you prefer?

Cabin selection typically depends on what your budget is. Sea view cabins are obviously more expensive than the lower deck ones. Also, if you are traveling to scenic places like Alaska or Scandinavia it would be better to have a view. Deck plans are available in hard copy, so make your decision after doing your homework and planning your budget.

What are your dress styles and eating habits?

In a move away from only formal wear, most cruise ships today are more relaxed and have only one or two nights of dress-up nights. The rest of the time, it is usually casual or country club style dressing. Typically there are two seating arrangements for dinner, one starting at 6:30 pm and the other starting at 9:00 pm. While early seating allows you plenty of time for late shows, it may rush your off shore excursions. Late seating on the other hand gives you time to relax but may hamper your late evening activities. Also, table seating is usually for four to eight persons and very rarely for two. If you do want a dinner for the twosome, you will have to make a prior request.

How do you get to the cruise ship?

Flying there or driving down if its close by are two of the most preferred options. Sometimes the cruise lines offer you a fly-cruise package, which is easier, but may be a trifle expensive than independent booking. These include transfers between the ship and the airport, which can again add up to the cost.

What are the documents needed?

Cruise vouchers and travel itineraries should typically reach you 2-3 weeks prior to your departure. Travel insurance is not mandatory but strongly advised as a carry along document in case of any mishaps. Passports are needed for all international destinations.

So you have decided it is time to try a cruise vacation.

Whether you're an introvert, extrovert, adrenaline seeker or laid-back observer, the vacations you take are usually closely aligned with your personality. When it comes to cruise vacations, sometimes determining what kind of cruise ship is best for you can be confusing. At one end of the spectrum are the sleek mega-liners, at the other, the small vessels, but which will best match your personality? If you like the festivity of being among many people and fast-paced entertainment, you'll find it aboard one of the 12-15 story mega-liner behemoths.

Multiple pool areas, kid and teen venues, energizing activities from surf-simulators to nightclubs, and expansive dining options, are all designed to keep two to three thousand passengers buzzing well into the evening. Group activities cover a wide spectrum of interests, including culinary and athletic classes, games, to pool-side activities. Attire is usually relaxed, and hanging on cruise line, evening wear stretches from casual to formal. Due to their size, some ports are inaccessible to mega-liners which require them to either anchor off-shore, or entirely bypass them altogether. This is where the smaller ships have an advantage.

Catering to roughly 100 to 500 passengers, smaller ships can glide into more quaint and unique ports around the world resulting in experiences not attainable by those aboard the big ships. But the difference does not end there.

Smaller ships typically offer enhanced ambiance such as meals on fine china, entertainment by classical musicians and upgraded stateroom amenities. Notable guest speakers, frequently experts in culinary, cultural or nature-related subjects of the region, will leave you with a heightened appreciation for the cities you'll be visiting. Dress codes are often country-club casual by day, elegant by night. In contrast to larger ships offering an array of constant diversions, guests on small ships can still expect to enjoy a pool, spa and / or a health club facility amid boutiques for the discriminating shopper. Varieties of dining and social activities create a neighborhood-like atmosphere among crew and guests and are tailor for the refined and gracious traveler.

To add another figure into the equation, there are also mid-sized liners which are a variation between big and small, however attitude and service generally side with the smaller ship approach.
